The Oregon Zoo:

Pretty sure this is no longer an event (right, Tess? Nivedita, 6/24).

  • Beer and wine tasting
  • Casual BBQ including vegetarian and vegan choices
  • Special animal shows just for us
  • Bringing families (spouses and kids) will be encouraged

The Chinese Gardens:

Pretty sure this is no longer an event (right, Tess? Nivedita, 6/24).

  • Evening hosted from 6:00 – 9:00 pm
  • Asian themed appetizers served throughout the garden by servers with trays.
  • Hosted beer and white wine.
  • Classical, instrumental chinese music played throughout the garden
  • Although there are many small areas throughout the garden to sit and talk, there will be very limited table seating.

The Pilsner Room:

  • Restaurant seats – 220 (table seating), bar another 200, mezzanine stand up-cocktail 125.
  • Sidewalk patio seats another 200. Would use this with Bistros for an outdoor seating area, and the restaurant as a backup plan.
  • Full buy-out for Wed September 23rd is between 13k
  • Appetizers for $20 per person, no ”# of pieces” limit
  • Beer - $4.75 – 6.00; wine per bottle $27.00 (Columbia Crest Merlot); well $5.00

  • REMOVED? Were quoted up to 15k for a Wed night, and they were really really not interested in doing it. They said that the one time they did a buy out it made their regular customers really mad. That combined with the fact that transportation is a problem, we're taking it off the list.
